Navigating ongoing Covid restrictions in both England and Wales, I managed a visit to Bristol to photograph the new Physical Making Hub at University of West England for Austin Smith:Lord. A near deserted campus as almost all teaching is being done online at universities in the current pandemic. The client was keen to show the 'clutter' of the creative spaces to convey that the space was occupied.
After a period of lockdown, it's been good to get back to shooting on location again while working out new ways of working safely in the midst of a global pandemic. This shoot for Darnton B3 architects of the Llys Cadwyn redevelopment in Pontypridd, a mixed-use scheme comprising of offices, community facilities and cafe restaurant space. It's a major element in the regeneration of Pontypridd's town centre at a site that had been derelict for many years.

Autumn is well on it’s way and this shoot at one of England’s oldest schools took advantage of a particularly beautiful autumnal morning. A second visit to Kresen Kurnow in Redruth, Cornwall for Purcell UK, this time to photograph it after the internal exhibition fit-out had been completed and to cover externals that weren’t able to be captured on the first visit.
Lots of travelling at the moment, this time down to Redruth in Cornwall to photograph another piece of stunning conservation architecture by Purcell Architects. They have transformed a derelict brewery into an archive and local studies centre for Cornwall. Drawing together three Cornish archive and library organisations, the centre will house the largest collection in existence of information for studying Cornwall’s people, places, history and culture, dating from 1150.
A long day in Pembroke photographing this large school designed by Austin Smith Lord architects. Never a dull moment photographing in schools!

Enjoyable day photographing this fantastically light and airy new school and enjoying the banter with the schoolchildren!
Effective and bold use of cladding at the Tiny Rebel Brewing Company near Newport for a worldwide cladding manufacturer.
I had the pleasure of returning to Gower College where I studied in my teenage years (many years ago!!) to photograph the new reception building at the college after a fire at the site in 2016. Totally unrecognisable from my time as a student there!
It was a pleasure photographing the great airy spaces in this new higher education college recently completed by Austin Smith Lord which seemed to be equally enjoyed by the students.
This was an enjoyable commission once again for Purcell UK to document the latest stage of works in the refurbishment of Clifton Cathedral, a fascinating piece of architecture produced in the 1970’s.
I had the pleasure of photographing the completed refurbishment of this well loved museum on the outskirts of Cardiff over the summer for Purcell UK Architects. The redevelopment of this Grade II listed museum building designed by Percy Thomas Partnership in 1975 is the latest stage of an extensive programme to transform the National Museum of Wales. The £30 million Making History project was awarded £11.5 million by the Heritage Lottery fund in 2012, Wales biggest ever HLF grant.
