King's Bruton School

Autumn is well on it’s way and this shoot at one of England’s oldest schools took advantage of a particularly beautiful autumnal morning. Commissioned by Levitt Bernstein Architects, the shoot focused on the exteriors of the new music school building, designed to provide modern, state of the art music facilities for the school but also to blend in with the other school buildings some dating back to the 16th century.

Devon Country House

I love photographing Yvonne from Chameleon Interiors’ work. Here Yvonne oversaw the complete reconstruction and refurbishment of this newly purchased Devon home. It spans three floors and to make the most of the coastal view the central floor has been remodelled to house the formal sitting room, study, dining room and open plan kitchen / family breakfast area. The results are truly stunning.

Kresen Kurnow, Redruth

Lots of travelling at the moment, this time down to Redruth in Cornwall to photograph another piece of stunning conservation architecture by Purcell Architects. They have transformed a derelict brewery into an archive and local studies centre for Cornwall. Drawing together three Cornish archive and library organisations, the centre will house the largest collection in existence of information for studying Cornwall’s people, places, history and culture, dating from 1150.

A trip up to Southport this month to photograph for Bistrot Pierre’s summer menu. A key part of the brief was to create a summer vibe within a bistrot location. As always a great time working with the marketing and food development team at Bistrot Pierre.

I had the pleasure of photographing this stunning property for Powell Dobson Architects in a beautiful location on the edge of the Loughor Estuary. The brief asked for the link between the exterior and interior to be showcased in particular. The property was shortlisted for a RICS award.

Recipe photography
An enjoyable number of days in the studio photographing recipes showcasing Welsh produce and meat for a couple of different clients. Both of the briefs asked for a stripped back look with the use of natural background materials so we had some fun sourcing and creating a number of different backgrounds.
